All places on the inaugural committee for the WU Ball 2025 have already been filled. Thank you for the great interest!
You always wanted to open a ball in the Vienna Hofburg? Then take the chance and join the Young Ladies’ and Young Gentlemen’s Committee to officially open the WU Ball 2025!
The performance will be organised by the Elmayer Dance School, which will also be responsible for coordinating and rehearsing the choreography.
The following requirements are expected:
- Current WU students
- Attendance at all rehearsal dates without exception
- Good knowledge of the waltz (left-hand waltz) is a prerequisite and is mandatory
A maximum of 60 pairs can take part. Registration takes place via the WU Ball homepage on a first-come, first-served basis and is only possible in pairs. If you have any questions, please contact the WU Ball team at office@wuball.at.
As a gesture of thanks, admission is free for the ladies and gentlemen of the Inaugural Committee.

Registration for the Inaugural Committee
Registration for the inaugural committee is possible on a first-come first-served basis using the following form. A maximum of 60 couples can participate.
Prerequisites:
current WU studies
mandatory rehearsal dates
good knowledge of waltz (incl. left waltz)

Dresscode for the Inaugural Committee
Ladies:
- floor-length, white ball gown,
- white shoes,
- white gloves
Men:
- tailcoat (white tailcoat shirt, white tailcoat jacket, white mesh) or Tuxedo (white tuxedo shirt, black mesh),
- black (patent leather) shoes,
- black stockings,
- white gloves
