We are truly overwhelmed by the incredible interest in the WU Ball 2027. A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone! The WU Ball 2027 is officially sold out, with all available tickets now sold.
As a result, no tickets will be available for purchase at the box office on the night of the event. Table reservations are now available again. Valid admission tickets are required to make a reservation. Table reservations without tickets are not possible and do not replace tickets!
All information regarding the start of ticket sales will be available soon on our website and social media channels!
Update ticket sale
We apologise for the difficulties with ticket sales and thank you for your understanding, patience and the enormous interest.
In order to ensure fair and reliable sales, ticket sales will continue in stages today, 6 November 2025:
From 4 p.m.: Student tickets and large ball tickets
– Student tickets available: 900
– Large ball tickets available: 250
From 5 p.m.: Tickets with code entry (alumni, EA, employees)
– Available alumni, EA & WU employee tickets: 250
– Participants in the Bank Austria account promotion are excluded from the quota.
Please note that codes can only be entered from 5:00 PM onwards.

Official ticket sales will start on 5 November 2025 at 2 p.m. From then on, tickets will also be available without a reserved seat.

The codes for the alumni cards will be sent by WU Alumni Services and the WU Executive Academy in good time before the sales start. -
Tickets for Students € 60,-
A maximum of 2 student tickets can be purchased per order. During the bundle pre-sale on 28 October 2026, a maximum of 4 student tickets per order applies.
Important: A valid official student ID must be presented for each student ticket upon entry to the Hofburg. Without valid proof of eligibility, admission will be denied without exception.
Student tickets are also valid for international students holding an ISIC card, school students, as well as persons completing compulsory military or civilian service, provided that valid proof of eligibility is presented. -
Tickets for WU staff € 80,-
With your WU employee ID card or a current employer confirmation, you and your companion will each receive a ball ticket at a discounted employee price. The required voucher code can be requested at office@wuball.at.

Notes
- Our advance booking system for tickets and table reservations will be available from 28 October 2026. Tickets purchased through our advance booking system will be provided as convenient Print@Home tickets. Please print them out and bring them with you on the night of the ball.
- A seat reservation does NOT replace the admission ticket. In any case, you will need an admission ticket, which must be purchased separately.
- It is not possible to cancel or rebook tickets or seats that have been purchased.
- You will need an admission ticket to attend the WU Ball. An admission ticket does not include a seat.
- The QR code is only valid once and is invalidated the first time it is scanned at the entrance. Copied or repeatedly printed tickets therefore do not allow access. When leaving the event, this ticket loses its validity and therefore does not authorise repeated entry. The organiser reserves the right to refuse admission to the event to all persons with ball tickets with an identical QR code.
- Guests with a valid admission ticket are subject to the house rules.
- Film and sound recordings as well as photos will be made during the ball, and by attending the event you agree to the subsequent use of these.
- It is not permitted to bring any food or drink with you.
- Smoking prohibition: The general smoking prohibition of § 13 of the Tobacco Act, which applies to public places, applies to the entire premises of the Vienna Hofburg. Smoking is therefore ABSOLUTELY PROHIBITED in all rooms (except for the demarcated outdoor area to the right in front of the main entrance) - e-cigarettes and similar items are also not permitted.
